Guest Anonymous Posted January 19, 2001 Share Posted January 19, 2001 My dad wants to put a V8 in his 79 280zx, but wanders what to do about brake modifications, and if there are any engine kits for a 350 SBC , which I found one but it was over 700 dollars. Guest Anonymous Posted January 19, 2001 Share Posted January 19, 2001 Hey, Motorsport Auto (http://www.zcarparts.com) sells a kit for the 280ZX for $225.00. Its what I bought a while back and it places the engine pretty low and far back for optimum balance. Just be prepared to wait a long time for it to come in though, as I had to wait 4.5 months. My car is a 80 model with the steering box so it should be slightly different than yours (though the mounts still work). Ross C. and a few others on this board can offer a lot more info than I can at this time, b/c mine isn't completed yet.
