V8ZXTPI
Hello all, Been reading your posts for about a year now and finally convinced myself I needed a computer at home. About time to get myself into the 00's I have a 79' 280 with a Tuned Port 350 backed by the 700r4 trans. In the process of working the interior and looking deeply into the wheel and tire combo!! I can't tell you how many wheel catalogs I have looked in to try to find something with the measurements we need to get a decent size tire under the Z's. Think I may have it licked though. (Thanks to the invention of spacers) Once those two problems are solved on to the many more that lurk in the shadows... To the adminstrators - Thanks for setting up a site that maintains the high level of maturity all of the members display on these forums! Drax240z
Welcome bud. No thanks necessary really, for the most part this site moderates itself, and the only reason there is such a high level of maturity here is because that is what our members bring to the table. Welcome to the site and enjoy!
Guest greimann
My latest project was putting spacers and 17's on my ZX, and if you haven't seen the write up yet, the link is in my signature. You are correct that this site is genuinely helpful and fairly free of flame war dialog. We respect all opinions and will attempt to offer assistance no matter how elementary or garbled the message is. As a matter of fact, here is an excellent example of a mature and sincere reply to a post that was so confusing that no one could figure it out: Confusing Post Reply

ratedZ
Well well well....it's about time lol. Hey guys, I've seen Mike's 280zx in person and it's beautiful. The install is clean and rumble of the V8 is just awesome. We where playing on the freeway and ended up passing some troopers after a Z meeting one day lol. Good thing we didn't get caught

jhaag
Welcome! It's nice to see an increasing number of ZX conversions. Ross Corrigan and Dave Greimann are probably the deans of ZX conversions but there have been several more people contributing in the last year. Tell us more about the conversion (coupe or 2+2), exhaust system, other mods, etc. I know what you mean about getting a computer at home--I hastily scan Hybrid Z before work and on my lunch hour since I don't have one at home yet. My '79 ZX is completely stock (even the tires ) except for the 350 TPI and 700R4. Someday soon John
