well.. always wondered if I'd fit in a Miata (6'2", 250lbs)... it was very cramped, my head was almost right up to the soft top, and I had to sort of stoop to get a good view out of the windshield.

That said, it wasn't wholey uncomfortable... very grippy supportive seats. This was the mazdaspeed turbocharged one, rated at 170 hp.

It was fun... I finally got a small taste of what the fuss has been all about... the chassis felt amazing, even though I only drove it briefly, I could tell this thing would be solidly planted and probably very easy to control.

The gearing was VERY short, it had a six speed, and first and second gear just go by NOW... redline is a lower-than-expected-for-a-fourbanger 6500rpm. It feels relatively powerful... actually felt very similiar to how my turbo motor felt before I upped the boost. But after second gear acceleration was not at all impressive... no 'thrown back in the seat' feeling.

But what I wouldn't give to have that car for a run up the Sepulveda pass (nice curvy mountain road).

Sucks though... the price is way high for such a 'slow' car, considering there are much faster and more powerful cars to be had for cheaper (SRT-4, WRX to name a few)... heck you can almost buy a base model 350z for the cost of this thing.

Ah well, was fun anyways, and now I DEFINATELY see why you guys like putting miata seats in the Z!!! that was easily my favorite part of that drive!
