BIMMERTECH
I Am Replacing My Front Wheel Bearings And I Have Got Them All Done But I Don't Know How Tight I Need To Tighten The Retaining Nut. Do I Torque It To A Spec? Or Do I Tighten It Until The Bearing Doesn't Spin And Then Back Off A Half Turn Or Something? Please If Someone Has Knowledge About This Please Help, Thanks. Oh And My Car Is A 1977 280z.
VRJoe
Do yourself a favor and get a Haynes manual, From the Haynes manual- 1) Torque to 22 lb/ft (3.0 kg/m) while rotating the hub clockwise, 2) Back off 60 degrees 3) Put the cover on, if hole does not line up, back off until it does 4) Put cotter pin in. hope that helps, - Joe
