well my brother has been buging me all summer for the big show down his 69 firebird my 302z. He has been to the track lots has time slip for 13.98 @100+ inpresive for 3800lb car.http://members.shaw.ca/rguido/

he lives 5 hours away and brought his car down for our sisters wedding .We went just out of town to pick up our cousin from the air port thought this would be a good place but had me running on a hill not good with a 5 speed. So wee picked up my cousin ( my dad came for the ride as well ) found a better place .I WON convincing enough he didnt want to try again. I also beat a buddy of mine with a 83 stang he had bad wheel spin and all he saw was tail lights . Heading to Silverwood Theme park for some 18 mile fun first week end in sept.

Good job! But as a long time Pontiac fanatic 13.98 for a 3800lb 69' Firebird is not respectable unless it's bone stock on redline tires. If it's a 400 he should be almost 1 sec quicker to reach the respectability threshold. If it's a 455....,well we'll just assume it isn't ;)If it's a small block chevy he should be tarred & feathered nono.gif It is a VERY nice looking Firebird though.

Heh, even with his new found horsepower (due to correcting a timing problem) my brother still won't even think about racing my Z with his 302 motorsport ranchero. Whats funny is he has about 80 hp and I didn't think much more weight on me, but mine would run away and hide from his I know that just from driving them both. I think something still isn't right with his, I suspect he needs more carb and to toss those cast iron manifolds because its choking that motor off like theres a chicken in the carb or something. (I don't tell him that, I don't want to have to mod my car yet.. ;) ).

Regards,

Lone
