z32 fornt suspension in 280z?

Hi y'all,

I'm new here but a zcar fanatic for a long time. I own 2 project cars right now and am looking to do something different with my 77 280z 2+2. I am contemplating trying to put a 90 - 96 300zx front suspension into this car and was wondering if anyone has attempted such a swap? I have metal fabrication tools (plasma cutter, welder, tubing notcher, grinders, etc.) and anything that I cannot or am unsure about fabricating I can have friends build(professional fabricators). I was just looking for a resource to see if anyone else has tried this and if so what parts did they have to modify/fabricate and how. I know that the subframes and suspension are totally different, but for some reason I really want to do this thing. I'm guessing that engine mounts, steering rack, strut towers, and mounting points will all have to be changed, but i'm not in a hurry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
