Guest 73Turbo240z
While i'm redoing the camgear issue i found my oil leak was a result of a chewwed up front timing cover crank seal... So i'm going to swap it out, but i'm not recalling which way you press it in from, the rear of the timing cover? or the front of the timing cover? any tips or suggestions would be appriciated, don't wanna have to do this again anytime soon, tis getting old. Guest norm[T12SDSUD]
Install it from the front with the flat face facing the radiator.Tap it in by placing the flat end of the old seal over the new one and make sure it's flush 360 degrees around with the cover when done.If it's cocked it might leak.
