The Revelation
ive read and found that it would be a good idea to have lighter pistons so what most people do is have shorter pistons with a longer rod length (if im wrong then im retarded...correct me if i am) My current engine is out of an '83 280zx it has a p90 head and im looking for a compression ratio of around 8:1 so i can attach a turbo and have a low compression high boost setup. ive heard that the 2mm HKS gasket is a smart thing to buy for this setup. Im just wondering does anyone know of a place on the internet where i can purchase the gasket, pistons, and connecting rods? and/or then which pistons would be the best way to go? thehelix112
http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/enginedesign/ Have a play. I don't think you will need the 2mm h/g with the P90 head though. Std L28ET with P90, 1.25mm gasket and dished pistons is 7.38:1 or so. Dave
The Revelation
wow, actually i have that engine design program saved in my favorites. Thats your program right? I saw a thread posted by someone that said "great design program" or something like that. Thank you though, i will most likely do that then. thehelix112
I would really like to get it calculating valve clearances and the like, which is why there are spots for valve lift and diameter etc. Just haven't gotten around to it yet. Glad its useful. Dave
