V8ZXTPI Posted February 21, 2006 Share Posted February 21, 2006 I have the Firebird version in my 79 ZX and got it with about 75,000 miles on it and it has been in the ZX for 9 years. LS1 240Z Posted February 22, 2006 Share Posted February 22, 2006 L98 is a decent motor... but you would be better off starting off with an LT1 or LS1... much better motors stock TPI motors dont breath well up top, your powerband stops at about 4500. way to cure that is to get diffrent intake and runners. if budget is your mind set id suggest just getting a carbed small block, otherwise step up to LT/LS motors Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
