Brake Lines

Hi All,

 

Well I have most of my 280ZX rear brake conversion done but I can not figure out what SS brake line to use. I did a search but found no information on what lines people used so hopefully someone can help me. Here is exactly what I have.

 

1977 280Z

Maxima brackets

82 280ZX calipers and rotors

 

The only issue is how or which brake line to get that will make this setup work? I could just use the Earls SS line I have but it would require a steel line and an adapter to make the setup work. What I would really like is one line that attaches to the caliper and the factory brake line. So if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

 

Also now that I think about it how did you all route your e-brake cables??

I ordered a set of SS lines from MSA. I had to trim the fitting for the caliper a little to ensure a good fit (it was a little too long on the threaded fitting). I'm still working on the best way to route the Parking Brake cables, but it's pretty straight forward. When I ordered the lines from MSA I just told them what style lines I wanted, Male at the caliper and Female for mounting to the body. If I can find the invoice I'll let you know the part numbers.

I have a set of 280ZX SS flex lines from MSA. I'll only be using the front ones. If you want to purchase the rear lines at cost just let me know. I'm only one city over from you in Portsmouth.
