What would be the easiest and cheapest way to get som extra juice out of a l26 engine????? If it did, it would be the thing that have a small pipe thats connected to the exhaust manifold to the injake manifold (l28 setup), might be connected to the carbs some how. AK-Z Posted February 27, 2006 Share Posted February 27, 2006 to get to 200 hp with the original engine. you are have to go stroker or force induction. The easiest way I see is to turbo charge it, but that will intail setting up a EFI system. With a stroker, you would have to rebuild the engine with stroker parts and bore the cylindars to get 3.0-3.2ish litres. With a engine swap you can reach well beyond 200 hp and have a lot of variety to choose from. People have even put Nissan truck engines in theirs.
