Initial Z
I’m in the poses of getting my floor pans ready for new metal. I have been using a screwdriver to chip away the tar (or what ever it is) that is coating the metal and its getting very tidies. Is there any better tool for this? That stuff is on there good! Thanks, nate
AK-Z
Are you talking about the sound deadener? If so, its been discussed before. Dry-ice, paint scraper, and a hammer.

dj paul
search and you will find a myriad of information, for instance my post involving a CO2 fire extenguisher and a hammer. or just being cold outside and whacking the crap out of it. (but it has to be pretty cold) some people have had to heat theirs up but for me that would just make it stick worse.
TomoHawk
I usually use a heat gun on regular undercoating. Heat it until it 'melts,' then it scraps off with a sharpened stick or putty knife. Some mineral spirits to was hoff what left.
