Guest XXtaZy
Ok. I keep finding answers for what I'm looking for, BUT for the wrong ride. (mostly older Z's). I have an '86 with a Chevy 350 and a 350 tranny that I just bought for a friend. In short he didn't finish what was gonna be a good project. I hope to finish it with my own flare. Well one of the first things I want to do is get the gauges working on the car. The gas works (which is good being that v-8 goes through some gas.) But not much past that. I want to get them to work. Does the gauges work off of the ECU? Currently it has the digital dash on it. I don't want that. I want to convert to the analog dash. As you may have seen from another post, I want to try to get some of the reverse indiglo guagues and install them. I already have the gauge cluster. Just need some know-how or some direction. Gonna go out and get a hayes, but hoping to thrive from the experts who've been there already. Thanks in advance everyone.
GrayZee
I don't have any experience with the digital gauge clusters, but I am familiar with the pinouts on the ecu, and I'm 99% sure that the gauges have nothing to do with the ecu. Probably it is all internal within the gauges.
