Guest Frank280z
Whats the best way of installing new springs and struts? Never did this before. I have everything for the install including the tools. So now I just have to get it done. A local mech. said 200 total for all 4 corners. It might be worth it. My garage is too small for this project. And I like you guys never leave the Z outside if avoidable. Then again our garages are never big enough....Frank ------------------ Build it. Drive it. jeromio
If you haven't already, I highly, highly recommend replacing the bushings at the same time. It took me an entire weekend for just the front 2. BUT, I also cleaned, blasted and painted every part. (I also converted to coil overs, but that didn't add much time at all). I haven't done the rear yet, but have heard that it's more difficult to tear down (which is only required if you are replacing bushings, which you should). You will also need to replace the lower ball joints.
Guest Drewz
The rear is a bitch. The main bolt sieves right tight and is almost impossible to get out if there is any rust present. If the guy will stick to his est. go for it. I love doing my own work but the rear strut thing fried my brain a bit too much. If the bushings look bad or the pins look rusty watch out!! ------------------ Drewz
