Guest turboblackpearl
alright, so the ignitor i grabbed from the pullapart has 3 wires coming out of it. 1 blue, 1 black/white, and 1 black. i think the blue wire goes to the ecu, and the black wire to ground, but what about the black/white one? i thought it would be for 12v switched, but i'm also hearing that it goes to the negative side of the coil. if it does, then shouldn't there be a start signal for the ignitor? Guest turboblackpearl
nevermind, figured this part out, but still cant figure out why the yellow/white wire from my ecu is putting out voltage, it's driving me insane, i tell you.
getZ
You have it backwards. The black white goes to switched 12 v. The terminal on the ignitor is direct short to the switched 12v. The blue is the grounding connection to the negative end of the coil. As far as the yellow/white wire check the "you damn fool" write up. That part is easy to follow. Just make sure you have the right end of the connector hooked up. It goes from the computer to the ignitor.
