Guest scca
HEY! for those that have coilovers maybe we should have a suspension travel test. use a tie wrap (zap strap) and wrap it around the strut insert tube and move it to the bottom by the housing - drive the car for 2 days and check to see how much its moved up the shaft. that would be your travel and you would know how the susp is working. a rough rule is that if you have more than 4" of travel then the springs arent stiff enough. assuming the inserts themselves are in good cond. wondering how much travel car has with 2oo springs vs stiffer. ------------------ Mike http://www.fonebooth.com raceparts and brakeupgrades
Guest dankinzle
Okay, I've actually done this test before right after I swapped out the suspension and stuff. I've got 175 lb eibach and tokico illumina's set at the highest setting. I'm getting 2 inches maybe of travel. No problem bottoming out here. I haven't sectioned, but the car isn't on the ground or anything. Long
