BWRex
The process I used in the engine bay is as follows: 1.Fixed rust areas, battery tray, frame rails, subframe connectors, etc. 2.Welded brace plates for swaybar reinforcement. 3.Sanded entire engine bay. 4.Treated entire engine bay with Naval Jelly, per instructions. 5.3 coats Rust Bullet. 6.3 coats Herculiner Bedliner. Step 7 is the question. The Herculiner is fairly rough, and it would be a pain to clean once dirty.I was thinking of a type of thick(possibly brushon)clearcoat to fill in the roughness and leave a smoother,'hammered' like texture, for ease of cleaning.Maybe a gelcoat?Any suggestions?
