Guest Cronic
Im yet more issues with my 280zxt - There is no spark. I've replaced the coil and still nothing at the coil. There is a module thing, that feeds the coil, and I'm thinking that might be the issue, but I dont know what it's called to replace it. I believe the coil is run by a switched ground, the coil itself is getting 12v. it just wont fire. So is there any way to rig it up?
getZ
Aside from replacing the whole computer. I couldn't find a way to get around an ignitor. I did at one time use an msd 6AL to simulate the computer input. Ground the white wire and you get a good healthy spark that is audible. You don't even have to use a plug out of the engine. You can hear the plug in the engine. If there is gas in the cylinder it will turn the crank slightly.
Guest Cronic
I found it The CAS was slightly unplugged under the distributor. Don't know how it got that way. but it runs now.
