Guest zfan
THE DIAPHRAM ON THE BOOSTER JUST WENT OUT ON MY 240. I ORDERED A REBUILT ONE FROM MSA. I HAVE DONE BRAKE JOBS BEFORE BUT NOT THE BOOSTER. WILL TAKE MY TIME ON THIS ONE AS MY BRAKES OBVIOUSLY ARE A CARS LIFE LINE. ANYONE DO A CHANGE OUT AND ANY HELPFUL HINTS OR INFO WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. THANKS GUYS, IN ADVANCE. MIKE/ZFAN
Drax240z
My experience is limited to removing 2 of them. I hope you ahve a decent set of extenions/deep sockets/u-joints on hand. Getting at the nuts that hold it on (under the dash) is quite a chore. (on a zx anyway) 12mm deep socket, 2 x 3" extensions and 1 u-joint should do it, but be prepare to lay upside down in your car for a while. Its not a hard job, its just frustrating! As for the master, you shouldn't have to do anythign with it other than unbolt it from the booster. Good Luck. ------------------ "Gimme Fuel, Gimme Fire, Gimme that which I desire" -Metallica Drax240z 1972 240z - L28TURBO transplant on the way! http://members.xoom.com/r_lewis/datsun.html [This message has been edited by Drax240z (edited October 30, 2000).]
