Wondering Nomad
I found a 91 Q45 at the local yard with the R200 still in it. Is there anything special I should know about the removal or is it pretty straight forwrd? There seems to be a lot more to remove to get it out than what you would do on a Z. Just trying to figure out if the price is worth my trouble.
Kennysgreen280zt
The diff itself is pretty straight forward, there are four mounting bolts, then the driveshaft and halfshaft bolts. If you want the axles too, you will need to bring the big socket for the halfshaft nuts, and a breaker bar. Then they just slide out after the nut is pulled (its like a 32 or 36mm)
mtcookson
if everything is still there, unbolt the axles first, then the driveshaft bolts, then remove the diff. this will make it a whole lot easier by keeping everything from spinning when taking the bolts/nuts off.
