Guest Anonymous
Hi all, Im looking for a supplier who makes stainless brake hoses & the clutch hose for the 240z. . .got any suggestions? Please dont suggest Baker Precision as I used them for $15 US worth of silicone hose and, without bothering to email me that it would cost $70 US in freight, they sent them. $151.00 Australian for 2 x 5ft of 4mm silicone hose. . . .NOT IMPRESSED! . .particularly when another supplier sent me a comparable sized package and they absorbed the freight cost!. . .It did take a week longer, but whats 1 week in a 4 year project? Now that Im done complaining. .. .. .Id appreciate any help you can give me Cheers - Simon
Guest Anonymous
MSA sells them for $55us or so a set of 4. Clutch hose they sell for $15us or thereabouts. They are small and light, I can't imagine shipping being any more than $50 tops. But wtf do I know! MSA sells earl's lines, perhaps you can find a supplier/dealer on your continent who can get them without the added shipping cost? ------------------ Morgan http://z31.com/~morgan/s30 http://carfiche.com
Guest Anonymous
Thanks Morgan, There are people who sell them over here, but the price is crazy! you say $55 US that's about $90 Aus. . .Id be more likely to pay $250 over here for a set. I'll look those guys up. Thanks again
Guest scca
the MSA ones dont use reuseable ends , any under $20 USD ea would be that way. you can get real AN fittings ona line for about $30 a line. the fittings are about $8ea and line is $8 a foot or so. yo could buy them premade or get lengths of hose and make your own. atleast this way its repairable not throwaway.. ------------------ Mike mike@fonebooth.com http://www.fonebooth.com/brakes.html raceparts and brake upgrades.
