Im building a turbo motor (stock rods, custom 8.5:1 pistons) and putting a GT35R on it. I'd like to have a good powerband and I like to rev motors. I would like to see 7500-8000rpm out of the motor and need to know what would be the ideal cam setup for this. Also, how is the bottom end? Can they take 8k rpm? Do I need to do anything besides ARP bolts on the rods?

Thanks

You should really lower your expectations about 1000 rpm's. 7000 rpms is plenty for a L28. Get the power from more boost, not excessive rpms.

350 hp should be a fairly easy goal.

A MSA stage 2 turbo cam should get you to 7000 rpm if you have a good aftermarket efi system with a good tune.

A MSA turbo cam stage 1 is good for 6000 to 6500 rpm. I would assume a stage 2 would be good for another 500 rpms.

Good luck with your engine.

350 is not the final goal anymore. lol. That was an old estimate with the 57 trim that's currently on the car.

Are there any other manufacturers out there other then MSA?
