Wondering Nomad
All the vintage air installs seem to be on sbc swaps. Has anybody done one on an L28? Specifically an L28ET. I couldn't find any mention of it in all my searches. Is there even a difference? What about the compressor mount?
randy 77zt
i have a 77 with 82zxt motor with air.easiest thing to do would be to go to pick& pull and get compressor and compressor bracket then use vintage air unit inside the car.some radiator shops crimp a.c hoses.you reuse the metal ends on hoses and cut the crimps off and replace the hoses to make custom hoses.if you use r143 the compressor will have to be flushed to use r143 oil. So I can basically buy the entire Vintage Air setup and just use the 280ZX compressor, huh? Are the turbo and non-turbo mounts the same? If that's all there is to it, this should work out just fine.
