Springs: Will 240 fit a 77-280 and are they lower

Want to drop my 280 vs going up with new rims as I like my chrome rims that are now on the car..

 

Will or do 240Z springs fit a 280 and are they as I have heard shorter than the 280 Springs

Way too soft. I put a set for a 240 on my 260 . THey were suspention techiques springs and went to the bump stops.If you do not want to buy aftermarket springs get a set if strut tops from a 240 or early 260. they should go right on but are an inch or so shorter.This would lower it without changing your ride.I went to a set of suspention techniques springs for a 280 and it lowered it to a good height, I already have the early 260 struts.
