innerware
http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=7996&cat=500 Here is the pic of the part that I am talking about. It is supposed to have a "D" shaped hole where the shocks threaded part goes. Well, as I was replacing the suspension and tighting down the gland nut (I think that is what it is called) that attaches to the shock threaded part it all of a sudden spun around and the d shaped hole turned into a "O" shaped hole. I hadn't gotten the nut all the way on either and know I wasn't over torqueing. This of course happened to both sides. I have two spare perches but they are a bit loose and I am afraid the same thing will happen. What is my solution. Sorry if this has been covered as I have been working on the car for 15 hours straight today and have to have it done by next Tuesday and have no time. Thank you very very much. CruxGNZ
You can use a strap wrench and wrap it around the strut to keep it from spinning. The one I have is plastic and rubber, so it won't mar the finish.
innerware
Such a simple solution. Thanks. I have such a wrench too that will do the job nicely. I have been so mentaly foggy lately. You are all my crutch.
