280Z Turbo
I have some Kenwood 6 1/2s that I want to put in my Z as well as some 2+2 side panels that I got from the junkyard that already have cutouts for that. The only thing is, I'm not real crazy about cutting sheet metal for speakers, but this is the best/neatest place to install them. I'm wondering if installing the speakers will affect the chasis at all. Would I be making holes in an important structural area? I'm not going to build a speaker box in the backseat area, so don't bother suggesting that. Here are some pics of the proposed speaker holes:
Guest Ron
If youhave not cut the holes yet, hold back for a second. ALL the wiring that goes to the car runs trouugh that panel on the passenger side. It is a very big loom of wires, so be very careful to not cut any of them. If you are going to cut the hole behind the door pillar, use a cut of wheel and go slow. Good luck.
