Guest Ron
HI Peoples, ya know bud, unless you need this car for a daily driver, I would say don't waste money on a motot that you're going to pull out. Just yank it out of there and get rid of it. Spend your money on brake upgrades or suspension stuff. Thinkgs that you're going to need regardless. Start checking around for a engine / trans / computer / harness / deal. The most I ever spent was for my most current drive train and that was $1600.00 for a 94 LT1 and 5 speed with all the electrical stuff. I don' t have the room or the inclination to buy a car to rip it apart for parts. I would rather pay someone else to do that work. I'll tell you now, this car is going to be sort of like a boat, a boat is defined as "a hole in the sater into which you pour lots of money". It's a real kick in the pants fun, but it's going to cost you. Don't cut corners, save up some money and to it right. It's going to be hauling your butt around at prety impressive speeds, and maybe your wife also, so you want it to be right. I can't start to tell you how much money and agrivation I have been spared must by reading this site. There are lots of folks here who race these buggars who really know what they are talking about (I'm not one of em). Have fun bud, you only go around once.
