Globerunner513
So im planning on taking my gas tank in to a local radiator shop to get it acid dipped. they say its about $70. Is it worth it? or should i think of getting an aftermarket tank? had to drop the tank anyway, so figured i might as well get it cleaned. DavyZ
There is nothing wrong about getting the tank cleaned out. Does the ease of working with a stock tank outweigh the additional cost of a new tank + fabrication time & cost? That's the question only you can answer. I'd like a foam filled tank like my friend Auxilary is using, but it requires more fab than the stock tank with 3/8 inch plumbing I already have, so I'm using the stock, modified tank. Globerunner513
yea...actually the next day after i wrote that post i just took it in anyway. Used the same logic...basically its gonna cost more and take more time to set up an aftermarket tank than just cleaning out the one i've got. plus its only gonna cost $55...so im happy.
