Guest Anonymous
I am becoming an unwitting and unwilling expert in early '80's Japanese brake technology. I have found four '81 - '82 Maxima's with the "other" caliper, and the matching bracket that measures ~3.75" from center to center on the caliper mounting holes. These calipers have a large vertical plate and I have heard some say that this is the classic "floating caliper" design. Would the calipers on the cars equipped with the "right" brackets look more like the 82-83 ZX calipers, i.e., more like a cast body with bulges for pistons, etc., and minus the big, almost flat, vertical plate? Thanks!
