Guest Anonymous
ok guys, was in a chat room, and a guy told me i should get the 2+2 suspension for my 76...now, I've always heard that the two suspensions are the same...he said that the 2+2 has a upper and lower rear control arm, as opposed to just one...any comments? Anyone care to bring some truth to this? Thanks!
Guest scca
if your talking a 74-78 Z then he IS on drugs.. 2+2 has longer doors and different hatch and larger OD flywheel... thats it..oh driveshaft too.... in other words all Z 70-78 are the same except for minor upgrades - ie 75 starts with a R200, and FI. 74 has goofy bolt in half shafts and then there are the cosmetic differences exterior wise. Guest Anonymous
ahhh, thanks, kept telling the guy that my buddy's 76 2+2 had the exact same setup my 76 coupe did...he kept babbling though...I thought I might have overlooked something! QWKDTSN
Maybe he's just confused... From what I know, there are two versions of a Datsun car that have different suspensions, but it's not a Z. The 510 wagon has front upper and lower control arms instead of the McPherson strut setup very similar to the Z's.
