RacerX
I saw this today on Craigslist. The body looks decent and thought I'd share the info for anyone wanting to get a Zcar project going soon. Perhaps not a lot of bodywork to get involved with, just getting it running! RacerX http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/car/229707718.html 1974 V8 Datsun 260Z project, must sell this weekend! - $995 (lafayette / orinda / moraga) Reply to: sale-229707718@craigslist.org Date: 2006-11-03, 11:15AM PST The project has finally ground to a halt, and I don't see myself working on her anymore. My loss is your gain, the car is so damn close to running...here's some info and pics on the car: 1974 Datsun 260Z, clean title, up to date tags, straight body, little rust 1977 Chevy 350 engine, pulled out of a running Impala 350 turbo automatic transmission engine and transmission are all mounted up via the JTR kit (a 300+ dollar value) Custom driveshaft cut to proper length (300 dollars) brand new JTR aluminum radiator and radiator fan mounted via mount kit (220+ dollars) Holley blue fuel pump connected via REAL AN stainless steel braided line (300+ dollar value) Aftermarket gear reduction starter installed ($250) ALL OF THIS is installed and included in the asking price. Basically everything mechanical is mounted up, and all that needs to be done is the 10 wires that go to the engine need to be wired up. I would finish it, but these days all I want to do is work on motorcycles, and a small block chevy is of no interest to me. This car would be perfect for someone looking to start a V8 project, if only for the parts or the mounting kit...such an awesome value! THE CAR DOES NOT RUN, DO NOT CALL ME IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A RUNNING CAR. I WILL HANG UP ON YOU IF YOU ASK ME IF IT RUNS... With that being said, give me a call if you're interested: 925-330-8284 ask for Justin This item has been posted by-owner. no -- it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
