Hi guys, I'm a new member but plan on posting here quite often. It's my first v8 z and I would like to have some diagrams of the motor mounts and tranny mounts. for a small block 350. But the only problem is my project is a z31 and information like that is impossible to find. If someone could help me out I would have a new best friend. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys,

I just wanted to post to say I as well am going to be doing a sbc z31. I have searched and searched this site and no one has posted motor mount diagrams. However Alf has pictures of his mounts installed. I plan to use these pictures and just figure it out myself unless someone can find a diagram. Alf said it was a fairly easy swap. My brother is helping me with it and he is very skilled so I plan to just figure it out as we go. I will document everything as we go and post a complete walkthrough when finished. I plan on taking my time though because I dont have alot of money and want to do it right. Any help in the form of a writeup or diagrams would be greatly appreciated

MikeJTR and Ferreldo,

Thank you for the info but I think there is a misunderstanding. You posted information for the 280zx conversion mounts. What RedRacer and I are looking for is a diagram with measurements for motor mounts to place a SBC in a Z31 (300zx 84-89).

Hello Everyone,

Well I have started my SBC z31 swap. took the motor and trans out a couple of days ago and am currently searching the junk yards for a suitable motor. Alf, Could you please post some diagrams of the mounts and maybe a walkthrough on what wires are needed from the z harness to make the carbed SBC work? I have an 86 N/A
