datman
Hi Guys I plan on starting my l28ET build soon and was wondering what type of exhaust and inlet valves would be best suited to a turbo engine. I have tried searching but not found anything which mentions material. Would stainless steel be best? keeping standard size valves. Any info would be great help. Thanks
randy 77zt
stock nissan valves work fine.unless you are doing a high dollar build for an engine that makes over 500hp.be aware that p90 head uses slightly shorter valves than other z heads.if you are in the uk try courtesy nissan in texas for oem nissan stuff.i have a set of loose p90 valves laying around. datman
Excellent, Thanks very muh for the info. I will probably use the spare N42 head I have, if I decide to use a p90 I will drop you an email. I've read the stock NA cam can be used for a turbo, do you think that's ok? I will be running a megasquirt, 440cc injectors, holset he351cw, 60mm TB, EDIS coilpack
randy 77zt
n42 on a stock turbo bottem end gives about 8.3/1-works good if you have flat top pistons with n42 compression will a little high for a turbo.n42 valves are longer than p90 valves.na cam better than turbo cam -slightly.you probaly have enough parts to get running.
