Sadly I have totalled my pride and joy a month ago. It's a 91 300zx Twin Turbo. Moderate mods (375rwhp 380rwtq,suspension.....).My request for advice is about what parts to keep in preparation for my next project (s30). Drivetrain is sold, but I have complete suspension still. I have owned this car for 5 great years and would love to see it live on in some way shape or form. My goals for my s30 project will be a complete stripdown; media blast; weld, repair or replace any problem areas on entire chassis; great paint; no body kits; moderate power (250hp max); naturally aspirated. I have no aspirations in racing but I do enjoy a spirited drive quite often(I blame the twin turbo). I have read alot about subframe swaps, brake upgrades..... I dont enjoy long walks on the beach but your opinions are welcome about the project. Thanks in advance, Ryan T.

Ryan,

Sorry for going off topic here, but I am interested in a few parts from your Z-32, instrument cluster, cowl cover that goes over the Battery and a few other misc trinkets. If you still have the complete car and are parting it out, could you E-mail me at;

Thanks,

Paul Ruschman

Are you wanting to put some of the your Z32 suspension on an S30? Im not sure if it would be worth the fabrication to put it on. Theyres quite a few buisnesses that sell aftermarket improved S30 Suspension.

As for the motor I think the easiest thing would be to get a l28et in it and build it up to whatever power youd like.

Sorry about your car, can I ask what happened in the crash?

Thanks for the replies. The accident happened when I entered I-75. I was still getting up to speed when I drove over the expansion joint of a bridge that apparently was slightly iced. At about 45mph the rear wheels spun slightly and pointed the car to the right. In an instant I hit the concrete wall on the right, darted across three lanes of traffic and hit the wall on the left twice. This happened in the middle of the day with plenty of traffic. Amazingly I didn't hit anyone else and only got a big knot on my head. I thank my lucky stars that I didn't hurt anyone. As dissapointed as I am I'm pleased that the damage was only material. Could have been much, much worse. It's amazing what can happen even when your are as careful as can be. I'm not sure if I care about which z I get as long as it's a 70-78, coupe, manual, and fairly good condition. I live in Toledo Ohio, so I expect I will be doing a lot of searching and possibly some travelling to find the right one. I have owned a 72' 240, and a 83' 280zx when I was just out of high school. Both were rust buckets. Now I have lots of fabrication experience (journeyman ironworker) and a little more maturity on my side.

Incase anyone else was wondering, I am parting out the car. I'll be posting additional ads on twinturbo.net soon.
