Guest Anonymous
I have a 1977 in VGC but she handles crossing train tracks like an earthquake! Whats the best resolution to restore to original (or better) the handling/ride of the car, I do not want to lower her as I like the orig look. Thanks for any help! Guest Anonymous
Check to see if you have any polyurethane suspension bushings which can cause temors crossing RR tracks.Polyurethane has no cushion effect like rubber, giving a stiff ride. Worn out rubber bushings and suspension joints can cause a rough ride. Hydraulic strut cartridges may give a softer ride than gas cartridges (my opinion). You may need new strut crtridges. Oversize tires and overinflated tires can cause roughness. Poor alignment can cause jitters on rough surfaces.
