Modern Motorsports Ltd
A friend is interested in Ground Control's Advance struts for his Z (full out road racer with slicks). I've seen almost zero feedback/discussion on these, one bit I'm aware of is one BMW M3 roadracer had some ongoing 'leaks' with them a while back. Another Z racer felt they were a good strut and fine value (vs. next level). GC's Advance Strut Thanks in advance
Guest scca
they are a good insert. penskes and ohlins are better (at least i think they are) and a few others. koni gas double adj is decent as well... just gotta think though , i dont know of a "fast" Z car locally (other than John- and i'm guessing its not him talking to you) so i have to wonder if spending $1600 ($2700 cdn)ON shocks would be a wise upgrade to start with. randy 77zt
you will probably find about %80 of cars equipped with tokico illuminas.the reason for the supershocks is because some racers are using ultra stiff springs and shocks have to be top notch to supply enough rebound dampening. fast240z
Vic Sias won the 2001 SCCA Solo II Nationals in BSP with his Z running Advanced Designs. From talking with him, Andy Craig, and Rob Luis (who won Street Mod at the Nats in the M3 of Jim Ochi), I decided to go with the Advanced designs for my race car (FP AutoX), I am using 450lb. springs with this setup. I am looking for some good results but cannot offer any driving impressions yet as the season has not yet started, and I am still tuning.
