NCchris
Got my new (to me) L28 turbo short block fully dissassembled and discovered that there is flashing all inside the block. I know this is a by product of casting and wondered if it warrants removal? Some of it will fleck off with a screwdriver. I know the chances are remoth that a piece could break off and find it's way on top of the piston, instead, it would probably just fall into the pan and stay there. Is removal worth doing or am I just being anal? TIA chris
DemonZ
One of those little "while I'm at it" considerations. If it's going to get tanked, I suppose it's only a day of die grinding. Ultimately, unless it's a race motor +5k it's probably not worth it IMHO.
