Guest triple_threat311
I just got my wilwood rotory style adjustable proportioning valve from summit, and I was a little curious on how I am supposed to run it. My autoshop teacher said that I should remake custom lines and he would show me how, but I was curious what everyone else did. Did you guys all make custom lines? I thought that it was a real simple deal. anthony
CruxGNZ
Anthony, I just ran new lines from the master cylinder back to just before where it tee's into the two lines for each rear wheel, of course you have to plumb in your proportioning valve somewhere in that line also, depends on where you want it. Some put it in the engine compartment, just after the master cylinder, others put it inside the car. The new lines that I put in were from the local auto store. There you can buy lines already done for you, but some may not be the correct lenghth and may need to be coiled up to take up slack, unless you plan to cut and double flare them. Your teacher will show you how and teach you about double flares. Make sure you practice before you try on your car. Doing the APV on my car was the first time I tackled double flaring brake lines, and man, what a pain in the @ss. !M!
