Guest zphreek
ok guys... after reading several posts and articals online about the front brake upgrade using 88 toyota 4-runner calipers and 84 300zx rotors, i decided to try it myself. i got all the parts and now for some reason i cant get the rotors to fit right. all the places on the internet where i looked said that you need a 1/2 inch spacer. i made a 1/2 inch spacer and it wasnt wide enough. i am now all the way up to a 5/8 inch spacer and i still need it to go out a little more ! what the hell am i doing wrong??? the calipers have "s12w" stamped on them and the rotors are for a 84 non turbo 300zx.... i also saw somewhere that you could use a rotor from an 1987 maxima?? any help appreciated. Guest scca
is this on a early Z? or ZX. early pre 74 cars use a 5/8"spacer and later 75+ use thinner. this upgrade does NOT work on a ZX just in case you have one of those
