John Greenslade
I now have all my rear suspension completely stripped and am taking components out to be beaded blasted and powder coated. My question is what to do with differential and half shafts. I assume I can have bead blasted but that the heat of powder coating would be problematic. What does everyone suggest - bead blast and then primer or POR15?
Guest Anonymous
The painting experts are recomending quality primer and paint. Por 15 and its metal prep would work good on the diff. and half shafts and could be applied with a sponge rubber brush. Black would work the best and silver exposed to ultra violet rays turns a sickly green. And POR15 gray is grey. If you are doing a special treatment besides black with powder coating on other parts a quality automotive paint may match or compliment the powder coating better
