Guest barryh
I have a z31(1985) which I use exclusively for track days which usually only involve around 4 laps at a time. The car is still fitted with the standard 85 Turbo brakes which are single piston with 274mm rotors.Up to now I have been using Hawk HT14 compound on front and have no complaints about the performance at all. Great cold, better hot,no unusual wear. My problem is that it is often very difficult to get replacement pads at short notice--they are often out of stock. I wondered whether anyone else is using the same material with HB475 pads and knows of an alternative material that is more readily available, and is still suitable for the track. I am in Australia but usually buy pads in US-- any ideas??
