I got wheels 15x7 I'm thinking about 215/50/15 tires

Any comments on this?

Anyone have anything similar?

Should I go with the same size all around or use something smaller in the back?

I'm not going to race the car, maybe a little street racing with my LT1. It's a 78 280z.

I just want something that will look good, handle pretty well, etc.

The suspension is stock and probably will be for the life of these tires.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi Craig,

I am running 15/50/225's in the rear now.

I had a tad of rubbing from the lip but it's now removed.

I can't help ya on the fronts I'm running 15/R/135's for the front.

Hope this helps.

Dave

I'm running 205/55x15's on my Z with 7" weld draglites at 4.5" backset and they fit fine, the inside of the tire at the top is close to the spring in back. If you have less backset then I'm pretty sure they'd probably fit but could encounter the outside edge, but 215's should be no problem I'm fairly certain. Look in the archives theres alot of what fits etc etc in them.

Good luck with it.

Regards,

Lone

Thanks for the input.

I have been looking around at online tire places and it seems that there is a much better selection of 205/50/15's out there than the 215's.

I may go with these instead all the way around.

They will be a little smaller diameter than my current tires, 185/75/14.
