Does this look right?!?

Yeeehaw! I finally got the rear of my '71 down off of the jackstands, and sitting on my brand-new coilovers! :D

I adjusted the collars so that there was zero preloading on the springs when the car was jacked up. As I lowered it down with the jack, it just kept dropping and dropping.... Maybe I'm just used to it being up on jackstands, but it looks really low to me now.

Should it be this low, or should I raise the collars, adding some pre-load to the springs, like the stock ones had?

Thanks,

Apparently this is as low as it goes> Looks good to me. Screw it up and see what it looks like. You also might want to go with taller tires and wheels. That looks like a 14 inch wheel and tire to me.To me a zee looks good with top of the tire outlining the fender lip with the tire about 1/4 below the fender lip outline.

Thanks. These are the stock (?) 14 inch wheels with 195/70's on them. I actually have a set of 16x7 inch wheels on the way, with 225/50's for the rear, and 205/55's for the fronts. I wanted to upgrade the wheels eventually, but since the rear disc brake calipers scrape these wheels, it kind of forced me to get the new stuff now. (Like I really needed my arm twisted  )
