Guest Teffstosterone
I just bought this car about 2 months ago. It has a blueprinted and balanced 350 and a 5 speed out of a late 80's camaro. Its orange with black stripes, and the interior has almost nothing original in it, no heater, radio, or controls for them. Its push button start and 5 switchs for power. The moter swap seems to be clean enough, but I have noticed several things as I drive it. The tach cannot be reading right, it tells me idle is 2,000 and I know what that sounds like. The fuel gauge never reads past half but when almost empty takes only 7 gallons. The tach is aftermarket. I am new to this and have been reading alot here, I live in the sacramento area am also looking for a good mechanic, mufler shop, and a shop that has a dyno so I can compare what I was told when I bought it to reality. Thanks for any help.
280zwitha383
Welcome. I have a similar fuel gauge problem with my '81. Never tried to fix it. What did the PO claim about the engine?
Guest Teffstosterone
It was written as 72 datsun 240 z MSA hybrid conversion 370hp chevy 350 balanced and blueprinted, roller rockers, edelbrock intake/carb, heat wrapped headers, mild cam, iroc 5 speed, 280z rear end, flowmaster exhaust, simpson 5 point harness and racing seats. 280zwitha383
It's possible and not an outlandish claim IMO.
