JustinZX
i'm trying to get my 280zx na to run with a turbo and am living in austrailia where 280zx turbo parts are very limited and hard to come by. i managed to get a set of injectors complete with rail and fuel pressure regulator, and also a turbo air flow meter. my question is, will the car run off the turbo air flow meter if i just hook it into the existing na plug and ecu? there is one extra pin on the NA air flow meter.. does anyone know what this pin does? is it just an earth or is it something that the NA computer will need to work properly? thanx in advance
JessZ
You're running an NA ECU and other NA parts?
JustinZX
yes i'm running an NA engine, decompressed, intercooled, with a locked mechanical advance. adjustable rising rate fuel pressure regulator and an apexi SAFC piggyback ecu for finer tuning. the turbo parts i have are injectors, and AFM. i have a turbo ecu but i dont have the sensors required to run the ecu, or the turbo wiring loom. george.bryant
what sensors?
JustinZX
dont have the crank angle sensors, knock sensors, oxy sensor, or any others that a turbo engine would have that an NA one doesnt. does anyone know wat the extra pin in the N/A air flow meter is for? the plugs are the same, just the turbo AFM has one less pin.
