What is different is the amount of vibration (and the resulting forces) applied to the chassis AND the internal engine parts. Not usually a static strength problem, but often a fatigue concern. And every race car I ever worked on with solid mounts shook the hardware loose from one end to the other on a regular basis. Just something to watch out for.
