Guest Anonymous
Well, I finally got around to attempting to put my "frankenstein" front wheels and brakes combo together on my '77 280Z. I can see that I need a spacer to center the calipers on the rotor, but I've got another problem I'm hoping one of y'all can clear up. I've changed the front hubs to five bolt '87 300ZX's and acquired '83 Toyota 4WD truck calipers. Rotors are from Victoria British for an '87 300ZX. The rotor bolts onto the hub fine, but it is wider than the slot in the caliper. I've been told there are "W" versions of the Toyota calipers that will fit, and are what I should have bought. Anybody else have this exact combo and know what I need to do?
Guest Anonymous
How do you fit a "1983" Toyota 4X4 caliper onto a 87 300 ZX rotor??? This may help a little. I directly bolted the early "1979-85" 4X4 Toyota calipers onto my 280Z brackets and stock 280 Z rotors and retained the stock 4 lug pattern. I may be wrong but you made need later 4x4 calipers with the wider slot to fit the 300ZX rotars and maybe a little machining on the diameter of the 300ZX rotar . Please correct me if I am wrong
Dan Juday
Ross C. can clear this all up. But I'm pretty sure you need front calipers from a '89-'91 Toyota 4Runner. They should say on them S12W. You'll still need the spacer.

Anybody ...know what I need to do? Sure, you need the appropriate spacer and a pair of calipers from one of the following:89-95 4WD Pickup 4/89-91 4Runner I'll assume VB didn't offer up that info to you
