Guest ElvisTorino
Here's what I'd like to do (as far as brakes and wheels): 1. Convert front and rear axles to 5-Lug. 2. Convert front to toyota 4x4 4-piston calipers. 3. Convert rear to disc brakes. Here's what I have: 1976 280Z 2+2. Performance wise, it is entirely stock. Engine and other power performance upgrades are to come after brakes and wheels and suspension. ----- I've been lurking about trying to find information on these conversions and such and while finding good information here and elsewhere there are a few gaps that I would like to have filled before traipsing down the conversion path. Questions: 1. With a five lug front disc set-up with toyota 4x4 4-piston calipers: 1) Is a spacer required? 2) What rotors (preferably vented) are the best practical application? 2. With a five lug rear disc set-up: 1) Will the Maxima bracket be an efficient solution? 2) Is a spacer required? 3) What rotors are the best practical application? (I do need a parking brake.) --- I appreciate any help/assistance/information y'all might provide.
