Guest Anonymous
The other day the wires to the starter solenoid burned up. I'm not sure if it was from a short or being too close to the short tube header and exhaust. Anyway, today I picked up the Moroso starter heat shield. After looking at it, I knew that the battery cable and wires to the solednoid would be too short. Any of you have any advice? I'm going to pick up some bendable heat wrap and wrap the wires in them for now. Thanks, Hoover
DavyZ
Hoover, I seriously doubt that the resulting fried wiring was from a short--it most likely was from a header pipe. Get new wires that make sense--Vic Hubbard should have just about every length available for relatively cheap. And, as you stated, go the wrap and heat shield route.
