Guest Anonymous
Hello, I picked up a set of coilovers and 240sx rear caliper adapters from future mobile . I have a question about making the struts shorter. Why take out a section and weld as opposed to, cutting off the top of the strut welding a new sleeve perch, and tapping new threds for the strut nut. Thanks for your input, Chris
Trevor
Good Idea, Let me see if I've got a 54mm tap!
CruxGNZ
Chris, the reason is this $$$. The biggest tap I could find when the same thing went through my head was 1.5" and that tap alone was $133.56 - $200.34 . So, I imagine that's the reason why people tend to simply cut and weld. !M!
